I'll just start right at the BAT!!

Story: 9/10
Arima Kousei who was a wonderful Pianist in his early days was known to all child musicians as he dominated piano competitions. Unfortunately, his mother, who was also his teacher in terms of playing piano, died & Arima’s piano playing came to a standstill as the death brought a great shock. Arima Kousei was living a typical life after he had stopped playing piano. He had two close friends, Watari & Tsubaki. Suddenly, one day he met a violinist named Miazono Kaori who was determined to take Arima to the Music world once again. The story is awesome and the episodes execution were splendid. This story really breaks your monotonous life and cheers you from the inside.

Characters: 8.5/10
Your Lie In April’s characters really amazed me. They showed a thorough flashback or you can say history of the main character Arima’s. Other characters were developed quite skillfully as well. But the character development was kinda sluggish in first few episodes though it came out well after some episodes. In these kinds of genres the characters are all in all in the Anime & the director, writer had that in mind.

Animation: 8.5/10
The animation of this anime is colorful. The environment really matches up with the brightness and depth of colors. The characters may seem different from other animes but in my point of view the animation was great. The production company really did a fine job in doing so. When there’s a joyous occasion the colors are bright while in a gloomy or sad situation the colors are dark-ish. This made the anime more attractive.

Soundtrack: 9.5/10
Before watching this anime I was a pure metal fan & didn’t want to hear any classical music. But this anime made me a classical music lover. It made me a fan of Mozart & Beethoven. As a musical anime obviously the music were topnotch. The Opening & Endings were great especially the 2nd Ending was wonderful. The soundtracks were good too & they made the scenes more enjoyable or tragic. In case of Soundtrack, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso was a fantabulous one.

Enjoyment: 9/10
This show was, from the start, very enjoyable. It held a great promise from the first few episodes and kept that promise till the end of the show. This is a dramatic, musical as well as romantic anime. So it was bound to be a great one. Though the first few (1 or 2) episodes were kinda boring, the climax of this anime was just too good. From the start it gave some hints that this show’s climax’s going to be tragic. Well, I’m not giving any spoilers, so you can see it yourself. Above all, I really enjoyed watching this anime & I’m quite sure all of the watchers will enjoy it too.

Overall: 9/10
Overall this anime may be the best or one of the best animes of this season. It gave me some good impressions on trying for something. This quote really inspired me to do things any way I can & also to never give up.

"If you can't move with your hands then play with your feet! If you don't have enough fingers, then use your nose as well! Whether you're sad, you're a mess, or you've hit rock bottom, you still have to play! That's how people like us survive." - Kaori Miyazono.

So, I’d recommend this anime to everyone who haven’t watched it yet (many of you already did). Your Lie In April is certainly the one you should not miss.
