Mixed Feelings
To be honest, I could never figure out if I thought this was ridiculous and stupid, or a work of absolute genius. On the one hand, it brings up a lot of good points about moral extremism on both sides of the spectrum in regards to human sexuality. On the other, it's basically a means to deliver nonstop dirty jokes that I really didn't want to laugh at, yet somehow couldn't resist.

The animation's not too bad, though that just ends up making some scenes all the more uncomfortable, which I suppose may have been part of the point.

The characters aren't too bad, but they tend to get somewhat irritating after a few episodes. For the most part, they don't really change. Any development really only occurs within the first few episodes, and from that point the characters think and act pretty much the same way for the rest of the series.

The humor was indeed rather entertaining for the first few episodes, but quickly got old. I suppose if you don't mind a story that ultimately relies on sexual humor throughout the entirety of the story, then you probably won't have a problem with Shimoneta. However, if you're looking for something deeper and more consistently meaningful, this series probably isn't for you.
