Preliminary (34/52 eps)
I began this anime with an almost indifferent mindset - okay! maybe i had slight feelings of having begun a sailormoon-inspired anime.

However, I was deeply surprised by the truly emotional story line and depth of the characters in the series, after having watching a few episodes.

Story

The storyline was fairly unique; thumbs up for the director -and each episode develops the story and characters whilsts they are faced with differing events and placed in alternative situatons. Basically, the story revolves around a young girl - Misuki - Burdened by such tragedy, she was coerced to abondon her dreams of becoming a vocalist, until one day she had a fated meeting with 2 shinigami (Meroko and Takuto) ~This meeting changes Mitsuki's life; and is the beginning of a riveting emotional rollarcoaster for the youngen.

Art

The art is slightly obsolete as compared to newer anime however it does not subtract from the quality of the anime. The style is the typical large eyes, long anime haired girls etc.. The art is cutesy to sum it up.

Sound

NOW! this is definitely the main attraction of the anime - the music is beautiful and awe-inspiring, toppled with moving lyrics and a competent vocalist it definitely made me love this anime even more!

Character

The main character - Mitsuki- displayed definite character traits from the first episode, omitting any complaints of slow character development. She exerts a modest; almost reserved temperament which is fostered by lack of social experience and an overprotective grandmother.

However! Misuki's character develops into a confidence and independent woman as she is faced with inevitable situations; though she never loses sight of her kind and submissive self.

Meroko - The female shinigami is strong-headed and eccentric with her loud persona and rash decision making; which were very entertaining at times.

Takuto - The male shinigami whom slowly falls in love with Mitsuki - but is constantly in denial -unaware of his true emotions. He is kind and protective - often displaying an indifference to Mitsuki and Meroko's actions but is always there to help them when trouble arises.

Oba-chan (granny) - She is slightly aggro at first; cold and overprotective of the obedient Mitsuki; fueled by a disenchanting past and enmity for all things music --- granny gradually becomes more capable of displaying emotion and thus realises the importance of those around her. etc etc.

Enjoyment

ALL IN ALL! it greatly exceeded my expectations and was a thoroughly entertaining experience. - so. WATCH IT!

i dare you.
