***100% NON-SPOILER REVIEW***
***100% UNDERSTANDABLE REVIEW***
Damn the amount of hate towards this anime should be "ERASED".
Now let me tell you about myself before this review, I am a keen-eyed person who does notice many, many flaws during watching particular anime, not because observing anime is good, but because sometimes you need to know an anime's flaws in order to really find out how much you have enjoyed it. Now, Boku Dake is an anime that has really struck me. Episodes 1 through 12 did have it's ups and downs. I believe an anime like this shouldn't be scored based off it's flaws, but rather be scored based off sheer enjoyment. Because one thing I find in other people is that they will enjoy and anime, and then suddenly rate it 2-3 scores below their enjoyment mark and start to pick out unnecessary flaws in them. Yeah it's true, whatever bothers you in a n anime will truly affect your own satisfaction over the anime but I highly doubt everyone who agrees to these"4/10" reviews rated it 4/10 on their anime list. You will find what throughout this review, I do point out things that are worth criticizing comparing to that of things that are supposed to be disregarded in this anime. And that's why this review was written.

Starting off with the basis anime, a time-traveling man by the name of Satoru has the ability of "revival" which is far different than any other time-traveling anime we've seen. Now, I understand Revival did not get enough importance in this anime. That is one thing that could have improved in this. With it being 12 episodes, squeezing in an episode of information isn't wise. Revival is an ability Satoru can trigger when something "harmful" or something out of the ordinary is going to happen and he goes back in time to fix it. This ability kind of drags this anime along it's rides and events. At first, it didn't really hit anyone's mind that it didn't have any background information because A-1 Pictures definitely did a great job by hitting everyone with a master ending in each episode, and did I forget to mention suspense AKA CLIFFHANGER. I don't know about you guys but Cliffhangers, make me want to love and care about this anime more. Another thing related to this ability is the "Butterfly Effect". When Satoru is about to trigger the ability, a magical butterfly appears letting the viewers know, a bad-ass time travel is about to happen.
Yes, the information on the time traveling wasn't the greatest and the most realistic, but it's safe to say we got a unique and well animated time travel.

Now, the story about this time traveling anime.
Breaking down into pieces....

Story:
A truly bumpy ride we have gotten there. But with it finally being over, the story was really great overall. Satoru is sent back ** years in time in order to save a classmate of his back in elementary school. Intriguing as it is, Boku Dake doesn't fail to justify it's work in how the layout of the story worked out. The first half of the series, (6/12 episodes) was truly a masterpiece. Then we start to get a little slow and somewhat unnecessary episodes that just hints the killer of the classmate. Not to mention, the reveal of the killer is something I really hated... This is what made me rate this anime 9/10. The last three episodes consisted of Character thoughts and less climactic development. In the end, I was satisfied, but I believe the main episodes were the first, and last few episodes which wasn't done correctly. Except for the first episode of course.

Characters:
Satoru Fujinima is our main character who really is a lovable characterespecially during his childhood times. His sense of humor is definitely something to keep in mind. With his mind being the place of his child body, there are many key humor content which gave the series an overall heartwarming feel even though is was revolved around murdering and crime casing.
Sachiko Fujinima who supposedly won the fan award for "Best mom 2016" was justified in this anime. The mother of Satoru, who is a bad-ass mother who no one can really dislike, other than her fat lips.
Hinazuki Kayo, the victim of this series who is presented very well. I likied how she was always the quiet girl and they way her case was presented( scars on skin) during school was magnificent.
Friends of Satoru all had a lot of screen-time which was great.
Lastly, Yashiro Sensei, the teacher of the anime who is linked to every thing which is happening in this anime. Which I thought was a very bad way of approaching the climax of this story. All in all, he was a great character, who some have been made of as their favorite character of the series, because of his motives, actions and words.

Art: I'm going to go ahead and say the Animation was done perfect, or at least close to perfect. I don't see anyone mentioning anything bad about the animation so I'm going to leave it here as a perfectly animated anime. Though some episodes felt a little different in terms of facial structure, it was done well for most of the part.

Sound: The OST, ED and OP were perfect and matched the anime, nothing more to say.

Enjoyment: Now, with all of that in mind, that I enjoy this anime? Yes of course I did. Sure there was many things I hated in this anime but they were disregarded by the fact that everything else was well done. The characters, done well. Sound, well. Art, well. Story..Meh, it could've been presented much better. Now look, if every aspect of this anime was rated 10/10 and story 1/10, it would still hold up a rating of 8/10 with all the calculations being done. What does that say? You are criticizing this anime to a way new level. Saying, there was plot holes, cheap cliffhangers etc. All lies. Pure lies being typed onto your keyboards. There can't possibly be a an anime rated 9+ out of 10 on mal and have 4/10 reviews being the "most helpful", it doesn't make sense. If everyone agreed to that, then Boku dake would've been in the 1000's in rank. I'm just going to leave this here.

Overall: I loved this anime, in one aspect it is 10/10, and in the mind of a constructive criticizer, it would be rated a 9, or at the least 8.5/10. I thank you for taking the time to hear my rants and beliefs but I hope you enjoy this anime as much as I did!
