"Erased" is the anime everyone's been talking about lately. And depending on who you hear it from, it's either a masterpiece or utter garbage.

The series had an intriguing premise. Time travel? Murder? Little kids? I was like "heck yeahhh sign me up".

The first few episodes had me hooked. But then things began to go a bit downhill.

The art and sound are decent, but not particularly outstanding.

The characters aren't exactly original. Main character's your typical "hnngh my life sucks" kind of guy. Potential love interests include cute highschooler and lil kuudere girl. Then there's that smart light-haired guy. There's always one of those.

Still, while certain events and characters felt forced and unrealistic, the story still kept me interested enough to continue. Admittedly, the ending was rather disappointing - the twist was highly predictable, the plot rushed, and overall the experience left viewers unsatisfied.

But you must also keep in mind that this is a 12 episode series, so a rushed plot is inevitable. And despite its brevity, it's managed to move a surprising amount of people.

Maybe you won't like this series. Maybe you'll be one of the people who finds it disappointing and overhyped.

But maybe you'll like it, perhaps enough to overlook its flaws.

"Erased" isn't perfect. No show is. It's got its problems, and it's not the masterpiece some people think it is.

But in my opinion, it's a show worth watching. Ignore all the extremely low/high rated reviews and judge the show for yourself.

Because despite its flaws, I found it to be an overall enjoyable experience.
