Okay, so if you've heard anything about this anime it's probably that it's disappointing. That they tried to cram too much into the twelve episodes given, and then the ending kinda killed itself. That, at the end of the day, this anime is little more than 'read the manga fodder'. Well I'm here to say...

They're not completely wrong about that.

The anime's story is very refreshing. It's about two bachelor's hanging out in a crappy apartment. One has a day job of being a prostitute, while the other is a deaf swordman. When they're not brutally killing people for cash, they're helping the cops get to the bottom to crimes, or saving prostitutes. Basically they're handymen, and if you've got the coin they're willing to do it. Along the way they save a prostitute named Alex, who's lost her memories thanks to the drugs her pimp forced on her. But things go to hell in a hand basket thanks to the politics in the city, and the 'Tags', people who have strange powers.

There should have been no way that this story went wrong, but thanks to Studio Manglobe's melt down, they tried too hard and it showed. They threw in side characters we didn't have time to care about, sub-plots galore, and a pretty crappy ending that made you wish you read the manga instead. Other than that one thing, and maybe the art but that's a personal preference, there's really nothing wrong with this anime. The story's cool, the voice acting for both sub and dub is solid, and the music is fun to listen to. In general, I highly recommend this anime.

Just so you guys know, you can watch this legally on Hulu.
