Kono Subarashii brings a different kind of humor than the rest of the comedic anime shows. They know what to do and when to do it, it isn't your cut and paste comedy from a billion other shows, and that's what makes this show great!

I'm gonna tell you right now, no matter what you read from the synopsis (i actually haven't read it lol) this show does not go anywhere, but that's understandable. The goal of this show wasn't to be a shounen with the end plot of beating "the demon king." At least it doesn't seem like that, I mean come on, in the very first episode the people literally say "oh yeah the demon king's influence isn't anywhere near here," which should show people that "okay, so this whole demon king shit is never going to be happening then."

But this show does a really nice job of keeping up the same tempo through out the entire show, but still managing to alter a few factors to make it fresh and enjoyable. A lot of shows, even stemming away from anime for a bit, have a huge problem of shifting focus in the story. For example, a comedy can turn into a shounen real quick, and unless done in sequence with the flow of the story, like Madoka Magica holy shit that transition from ep 3 to 4 was so UNGH, then you're gonna have a pretty shit show. But this show does the exact opposite, which was a good thing, it kept the same pace throughout the entire show. And although you aren't able to see them "defeat the demon king," you do see some very slight progressions that make it a little more enjoyable, like for example *on episode 8* "oh hey cool i didn't know such and such character got to this level."

So don't be expecting any deep plot, or intense action, or an adventurous goal, just expect a light hearted, care-free, comedic show. It does a great job of setting the stage up, with its different perspective of "being put into an rpg (as in a different perspective of SAO Overlord etc)," and makes you grasp and enjoy where this show is going. All-in-All, it's a nice show, don't miss out on it.
