"The Beauty in the Struggle"
(For the Subbed Anime)

It definitely plays on your heart strings (Pun Intended)
Not for people who don't want to be emotionally involved with the anime!
DEFINITELY recommend this to performance artists or people who understand the beauty and struggle of being an artist.
I was a professional dancer at one point and I could definitely relate to the characters from that viewpoint (compliments to the writers).

First, a little about my taste.
This is my first review, because for some reason this anime made me feel like I needed to let someone else know how much it affected me so hopefully they will enjoy it too.
I've been watching anime for maybe only 5 years (which some of you may scoff at).
At first my taste went towards show like Code Geass and Death Note stories that were epic and brought you on a roller coaster with a cool character.
Lately it's been swaying more toward the heart of the art.
And this story definitely has a lot of heart.

To be honest, the first episode I wasn't really into it.
It`s definitely a story that pulls you in as the story develops, so you`ll have to put a little time in to really see how the wine ages (but not that long).
In fact I watched the first episode on Netflix and then didn't watch the second until a couple months later but I'm so glad I proceeded with it.

"We are on a Journey" -Kao and Arima
It feels very human where some anime are more for the action and BLAM! of it. They don't hold any blows. It brings the characters and you through the happy, sad, angry and ups and downs of life. But works well with the growth and strength that comes from getting through those struggles.

Personally for the music, as beautiful as it was it didn't sound that special. But, what made it special was the reactions and story told through the music. It makes you feel like you're walking through every moment of the characters through their journey, which is outstanding.

The art is special in capturing the beauty of moments and bringing them into the emotional world. They really make certain scenes feel alive on the screen.

Sorta Spoilery Section!
How I related to it:

This anime has a lot of elements of grief, struggle, perseverance, beauty in moments, love, feeling of "being in love", ups and downs, depression, illness, art, regret, and the eternal struggle of being afraid to reveal whats truly in ones heart.

In conclusion,
Its a beautiful anime to watch if you are someone who enjoys stories with heart to it, feeling connected to characters, music or artists and people who find human behavior and emotion fascinating.
Thanks to the creators for the wonderful journey I won`t forget.
