-Starts to lose itself near the end, losing itself in its own logic without conveying much of what is happening to the audience.
Code Geass is the definition of a 9.5 anime in my eyes. There are so many things that I could dock it for, but the enjoyable parts are so good that you just dont care. Plot inconsistency and some side characters are just overshadowed in my mind by the brilliance of the character of Lolouch.
I think the biggest difference is that the show knows what to focus on. For example, episode 19 could have been the finale and been dragged out as such. But Code Geass knows thats not its strength, so it gets it out of the way to move forward to where it excels, tactics and amazing mind games.
Reccomendation: A must watch
