For both the seasons:
The description feels like nothing compared to the anime. Though it is correct, the anime offers a lot more.
At first I wasn't expecting much. The animation was kind of different, and I was not used to such a setting. The characters were not introduced in the usual manner. It felt random. But after watching a few episodes, it started getting interesting. If you are a slice of life lover, this one is a must.
The anime was quite mature in handling relationships. After watching a hundred romance anime in school setting, it was definitely worth watching and gave me a good change.
The humor was pretty good. I never expected to have a good laugh in between quite serious scenes. There were sad moments, moments which made you think about your own life, moments when you would try to understand love and a lot more.
As in the description, even though you may not be poor, any college student living on his/her own has a lot to relate to. The confusion about what to do in life, friends, love, talent, work are portrayed beautifully.
Overall, Hachimitsu to Clover is anime worth watching and enjoyable. I went through both the seasons in a single go, though I was hesitant in the beginning. So, give it a try and you will love it.
