The main character is an unbearable guy one needs to beg to get an answer from where he doesn't just repeat one's two last words.
Also, there's an attempt of qui proquo when the maid informs his big sister that she saw him leave with a woman, when she, in fact, clearly saw him fleeing.
Furthermore, shiki apparently doesn't know what's a phone, and how he could use it to reassure his family and friends.
Back to the escape attempt of Shiki : he shouldn't have any reason to escape because either he doesn't believe that he killed her and so she is not dangerous, or he admits that he did kill her. Also the safest place would have been in the mansion and not a mile away.
Finally the anime forgot to give us a reason to care. There could be something interesting with the hero's family but I can't bear to hear them speak without being able to not say anything incredibly stupid. So dropped at episode 4 : nothing interesting to see there.
