Okay, let me tell you this right now. Technically speaking, this anime IS a romantic comedy, but if you were looking for an anime that focused more heavily on the romance aspect then you might want look other places.

How the show begins with its first scenes is rather typical of a romance series however, Sakura is attempting to confess to Nozaki-kun, however, what follows is nothing less than amusing. The story primarily follows Nozaki and Sakura as well as their circle of five friends. All of them either directly or indirectly assist Nozaki in creating his manga.

I'll admit, the characters are interesting to watch and are quite memorable. They each have unique personalities that do well to add to the comedy of the series. However, none of them change by the end of all the episodes; they're all static characters. That doesn't mean it's impossible to want to root for them or think they're entertaining, but character development does not have a heavy influence here.

The opening theme is great. It's so fun to listen to and fits the tone of the series perfectly. I wasn't so impressed with the ending theme, but I think that may have had more to do with me not being taken by the visuals that went along with it. The music within the show proper is pretty good.

Art was fine. It was pretty good, nothing terrible ,but it wasn't really anything astounding either. I liked the vibrant colors though.

As for enjoyment, though it has its shortcomings I really like this series. It will definitely end up on my favorites. I laughed a lot, the theme song was fun, and it was appealing to my eyes.
