First off, when i marathoned this anime, i became curious by episode 6 if a plot was ever going to be revealed. By the end of each episode i felt a little disappointed but continued until i finished. My first impression was, "wow what a waste of time". My complaints were, Character has no personality development, and many scenarios are unexplained; such as Yui's survivability, Yui's significance to Subaru, Kanato keeping "something" in Teddy for such an occasion and mainly, why the characters are the way they are, etc. However, the official soundtrack caught my attention and even after a gave up on this anime, i couldn't stop thinking how could such a horrible anime contain such a romantic and epic composition. So i researched this anime and after discovering it was a visual novel, i came to the realization that this anime is designed strictly for who have played through the games. i went ahead and read all the translations to the games and re watched this anime. Amazingly it was as if i was watching it for the first time. Every gap and unexplained situation was answered after reading through these novels. and of course, because you play the Heroine, (similar to the anime "Amnesia") the character has no personality because you are meant to make those decisions. So in the anime, the Heroine experiences every route instead of choosing only one. Overall, by having the back story from the visual novels, this anime is one of my favourites.
