Spoiler
This is what amounts to the decay of human capacity, with the funding that the studio had for this anime they could've made something so much better, hell just GIVE the money to Bones so they could make a sequel to the original Soul Eater. All I'll say is get ready because im on a roll today. (SPOILER ALERT THERE ARE MANY BELOW!)
So when I started watching this anime I was a bit turned off by the art style itself, the main characters are hardly memorable in the way that they look and sound. After I put a couple of episodes under my belt I began to see how bad this was going to become so as a result I turned not to expect much from it and I'll say that from that point on, the show actually surprised me with how good it was in comparison to my expectationsSo let's start from the beginning of the anime, at episode 1 they show how magic originated and the first episode as is common for most anime is just backstory, alright from episodes 2-6 this is when things just become monotonous, they drone on and on about magic sequences and different forms of using magic and the main character's pistols being special and how all this stuff is going on, but in truth... They don't actually explain what you need in order to completely understand the show.
*this is a part where I'd like to mention I'm doing one arc of the story at a time, the first So resuming, being the Competition Arc the second being the Thesis Arc.
From there on out the story falls into a competition with the other Magic High Schools (nine of them total.) and this arc in general just serves no purpose whatsoever except for maybe some additional character development that in general is completely useless since the character development is HORRENDOUS in this anime. all-in-all I had fun with it but it's very incoherent so it's a general no-go.
