I'm not even sure where to begin with this Anime, It has been an EXTREMELY long time since I have sat down and watched an anime this funny and enjoyable. I recommend watching Beelzebub if you like:

Action
Badass MC
Strong/badass female MC's
Downright funny and silly sequences of events
Great soundtrack
Great voice acting
great characterization
The list goes on....

Story: 9

So I gave this anime almost perfect marks on everything and the story is the only part in the show that I could nitpick on. Let me be upfront, Beelzebub is very much an anime that doesn't take itself seriously and is meant to elicit out loud laughter and enjoyment via its hilarious series of events and character interactions. By that very nature its story shouldn't be reviewed as harshly in this particular category. That being said as the anime is more or less based off the manga, it is not without filler. The filler in this case is actually pretty damn funny so I give it a pass. The reason I don't give the story a 10/10 is because of the ending and because of the time between major plot events due to the filler. Without giving spoilers, after watching the show for its 60 episodes at various points one would expect plot development and furthering, it was often the case that filler would ruin the stream of events and almost as abruptly return to the main story. Again this filler was enjoyable so I won't call it "bad" just poorly placed. As for the ending, well its the kind of ending that left me wanting more out of it rather than what we were given. Perhaps this is just me being annoyed at not having any more episodes to watch but I was hoping for a more concrete ending if that makes any sense.

Art: 10
I'm not the biggest art critic, I don't need the highest end character models/drawings and the most vibrant of backgrounds, all i ask for is artwork that is appropriate to the show's nature and for that I give Beelzebub a 10. A non-serious anime that generally utilizes bright colors is just what I wanted to see and even in the darker, demonic sequences the color choice was always appropriate. All the backgrounds for most any setting in the anime were also well drawn as were the characters and any of their discerning visual characteristics.

Sound: 10
The show had a lot of intros and endings and for the most part they go 50/50 in my book, some were really good, some were really bad. For that reason I won't consider them in this particular review on the show's sound. What I will consider is anything that happened inside the show and sounds used. So first things first, I thought the demonic soundtrack that played whenever Oga got serious was badass. Idk when i'll get tired of it but it's just so good and so appropriate. All the funny sequences had great fitting music, all the action scense had great fitting music, basically all the music choice and sound fx here were on point. The highlight of course being any of the fight scenes or Oga's demonic soundtrack.

Character: 10
There's just so many silly characters in this show its amazing. Whether its battle hungry Tojo, Himekawa's split personality, Oga's demonic personality, Baby Beel's adorable yet troublesome one, all the characters had something to set them apart from each other. Yes a large chunk of the characters were thugs ---- they come from a school of JD's. But in the way Kanzaki was a JD, Himekawa was differently. Each one had his own style and execution, you'd think having a group of characters with the same backgrounds would be a bad thing but here it wasn't. Each and every major to moderate character had something to set him/her apart and for the most part went through significant character development of some kind.

Enjoyment: 10
This anime is freaking hilarious no question about it. If I had to drop two names to watch out for in this anime it would be Alaindelon and Furuichi. Just look for these two and you'll see why I rate this anime 10/10 for enjoyment.

Overall: 10
Minor story annoyances aside, and filler distractions withstanding, this anime is the first funny anime I've ever given a 10 and its for good reason. Though a lengthy anime, each episode watches very well and leaves you refreshed in some way due to the sheer volume of comedy in this show. If you have the time, do yourself a favor, watch this anime!
