I wasn't sure what to have expected when I started watching this anime series. I went ahead having no knowledge of it, except for the fact that it had a high rating on MAL. This little slice-of-life creation reminded me a lot about The Bridge to Terabythia in the sense that is had to do with young ones using their imagination to deal with the problems or hardships in their lives. At least that's how it was for the female main character. The characters were cute and funny. One can't help but feel nostalgic, contemplating on their youth and how back then imagination was everything.

There are many things one can relate to with this story. Finding a way to deal with and cope with hardships and also trying to escape from one's embarrassing past. I remember how hard it can be to be young and foolish, and also naive. The story ultimately took a turn and got REAL heading toward the end. I felt very sad and hurt and there was a mixture of sympathy and understanding.

The story was good and enjoyable overall so I gave it an 8. The art was also very nice, especially concerning the fantasy battle scenes. This were beautiful so i gave it an 8. The sound was not all that very memorable to me, but it also wasn't particularly bad, so I gave it a 7. There was good character development and the characters were very likeable and they were not too childish especially considering their age. I was surprised at how grown up they handled things. Truly coming of age. So I gave that an 8 as well. OVERALL, I decided to give this anime a solid 8.
