Now to the Anime. It is a masterpiece. Oscar is such a good hearted and pure women that i almost felt in love with her. I believe there are only a few characters in anime history who have these characteristics.
The Anime itself combines many genres it would be unfair to say it is only one genre cause in fact it is many.
Roses of Versailes was the anime who made me to an anime fan.
I can understand why some say it is maybe the best anime ever.
Like i already said in the beginning don't get bothered by historical facts.
Otherwise you will not be able to enjoy this masterpiece in its full beauty.
