I REALLY despised the anime, but thanks to my friend (who likes this anime) I kept watching it and I will admit that I'm glad I did.
STORY:
The story has little to no plot and it just slaps in a small plot for the last half of the series and then they never bring it up again in the second season. I will admit that it felt like I was watching a creepypasta version of Ouran Highschool Host Club and they took out Haruhi and replaced her with a stereotypical blonde girl that you would see in horror movies. The series has nothing but Biting, biting, windy-wink towards porn territory, and even more biting.
THE ART:
The art style was beautiful and it drew me into the series and made it 15% bearable to me. I love how the characters are designed and I love the backgrounds. (That and I loved the design of Yui's outfit....I wish I had that outfit, but with a blue shirt and black shorts and boots.)
THE SOUND:
The sound was pretty decent to me in the japanese dub, but the English dub is a MESS! Yui's voice is so high pitched and annoying and it sounded like the actress was trying way too hard.
Ayato's voice in the english dub was a hit and miss, it sounded good at some points when he goes into 'seductive mode', but it sounds dreadful when he speaks normally.
Shuu, Reiji, and Laito's voices are some-what decent in the english dub, but I HATED Kanato and Subaru's voices.
The soundtrack was pretty good, I found the song 'Mr. Sadistic Night' very catchy and I' still humming it a month after I've watched the series, but the ending is nothing but scary violin music. So I tend to give the ending theme a skip.
THE CHARACTERS:
I down-right HATED Yui Kamori, she's annoying, she's weak, and god-forbid is she the DUMBEST ANIME CHARACTER NEXT TO MISA AMANE!!!!!
This chick doesn't know self-defense for crap, she doesn't even try to put up a fight, I just could list off the reason why I hate her.
The Sakamaki brothers are bland and have little sob stories to go with them, but they are hot. Ayato and Laito are enjoyable to watch for a laugh or two, but Kanato.......you will be disturbed by this creepy as F copy of Honey-sempai.
ENJOYMENT:
I enjoyed this anime a little bit due to the sexy vampires, but I hated the rest.
OVERALL:
If you love sexy vampires and placing yourself in Yui's place to experience the sexiness, go give it a watch. But just like me, if you're not interested in that type of crap....give it a skip....for your sanity...please.
