I am rating the ANIME not the MANGA mind you. The story of Maid Sama in the anime is a bit confusing and really doesn't make sense. However, after reading the manga, I much better understood the story. I recommend to read the manga along with the anime to make it more clear. This anime obviously needs a second season.

I'm rating the anime, remember. I LOVE the characters in the anime, don't get me wrong. Misa, the 3 idiots, and especially Usui are very lovable characters. But they don't have any backstory really.

I love this anime. It is my fave shojo ever. Really.
And Usui is my favorite character.

This series has its flaws. But if it had a second season or is watched alongside the manga, it's so much better. Since I've read the manga so many more things make more sense. I recommend it. GO watch it.
