I'm starting this out with, no I did not like this anime. I also think it's tragic that it's actually popular.

Story: 3/10
With the premise, it could have been so good. Humanoid creatures with supernatural killing powers? Sure, I'm down. But the delivery was so so bad. So bad. Horrendous. Awful. Miserable. Any adjective you can think of to describe bad. I had to FORCE myself to finish it.
It was like they thought "Hey, if we stuff a bunch of nudity, gore, and tragic backstories into it, it will make mature intellectual individuals think it's complex and deep, right?" WRONG.
Some claim it's deep because it supposedly addresses themes like racism and discrimination. Now tell me, if a pack of wolves was after you and trying to kill you and all of your friends, you'd lock them up in a cage so they couldn't hurt anyone, right? The diclonius are detained because they possess the power and ability to wipe out the human race. This anime is about as deep as a kitty pool.

Art & Sound: 6/10
The opening theme was probably the best part of the show, honestly. The rest of it was nothing noticeable.

Character: 2/10
The worst thing about this anime. The characters, while all being remarkably bland, were also remarkably stupid. Every single female character had a sad back story and was completely in love with the MC Kouta. EVEN HIS OWN COUSIN. The fan service here was not very cleverly disguised. The characters lacked any development, or COMMON SENSE. "Hey, there's a bleeding naked girl with horns who can't talk on the beach! Let's just take her home instead of to a hospital." Lucy conveniently went from childish to psychotic any time it served the plot.

Overall: 3/10
