Story - Tragic, sad, dark, horror anime not for the faint of heart.

Story starts off with modern civilization (advanced technologies) destroyed by Earl. Then world repopulates and the story starts in the 19th century.
Thoughts - The fight between Earl and exorcists is a losing battle for humanity. Humans die like ants in the anime.

Earl and Noah - unaging body jumpers that jump from one human body to another when the human body dies.
Thoughts - There isn't much that the exorcists can do, but kill them and hope the time taken to jump to another body is long enough to prevent further deaths. In the anime, there isn't any permanent way to kill them. Reminds me of the Valvrave the Liberator's Council of Magiuses.

Allen Walker - Protagonist of anime who lost his memories. In memory of dead dog (Allen Walker), he adopted its name.
Thoughts - Mysterious person with unknown background. Could he really be a friend or foe to the exorcists?

Earl - The main villain
Thoughts - Another person with mysterious origins. Those watching the anime should know who is his human host by the end of episode 103.

Akumas - The evolving machine of the Earl, the soul regresses as akuma evolves. Infant grows up, the soul goes down.
Thoughts - If there's an infant, there may be an adult.

Lenalee - Main female character
Thoughts - Weird past/future dreams that Lenalee always has. Another person with a past (life) unknown identity.

Kanda (thoughts) - Character that hides his emotions well, kind at heart, loyal. Mugen never leaves his side.

Lavi - Bookman tasked with the role of recording history. Unknown as to what he was doing before joining the exorcists.
Thoughts - Friendly, helpful, kind. Character that is opposite of Kanda and who enjoys teasing others. He lets emotions interfere with his work, due to his love for his friends.

Voice acting - Pretty good. I enjoyed listening to the japanese voices. Great job. There was so much emotion in their voices. The male and female singing versions of the 14th melody was great, especially considering that it was done by the same person - Allen, who was voiced by a female. Kind of wondering if there was a complete male version of the 14th melody?

Art - The art was great. DGM and Valvrave both had awesome art.

Music - Did enjoy the music, mostly sad music to suit the theme of DGM.
Thoughts - Lala's lullaby in DGM context, the person in the song actually seems to be Allen Walker.

Pacing - The pacing was better than other anime. Credits to the staff of DGM. The stories of the various exorcists were interesting and flashed out in depth as compared to the manga. The finders were pretty interesting with their different personalities, but I did not know what happened to some of them in later episodes.

Overall - If anyone is looking for answers to DGM at the end of episode 103, I will suggest reading the manga.
