I generally don't go for the slice of life genre. But I really liked Golden Time. It provided good levels of enjoyment and equally adequate moments for reflection on the content. The anime was coordinated quite well from start to finish, with well developed character base and environment setting. The beginning was quite fun, showing promise which continued all the way through the anime, concluding with a satisfying finale.

Storywise, Golden Time did quite well, I believe. The protagonist and his memory issues coupled with relationships with his friends is the core of the plot. Nice to see the characters progress in line with the story. The characters are well developed, giving each supporting character lots of screen time, leaving no doubt as to their originality.

Soundtrack is satisfying, the gentle tones and symphonic melodies pleasant to the ears. The ending theme for the first half of the anime was my favorite of the series.

I enjoyed every episode I watched, which I can't say for many other anime. Each episode ended with a twist, which left me keen to move on to the next one. One cannot get bored with the pace of this anime.

Overall, Golden Time is one of the really good anime I watched till now. I feel it deserves a better ranking than its current rating. It really captures essences a lot of other anime fail to deliver.
