Hahah! I was wrong as hell. The art is amazing! The food, though in cartoon form, looked extremely appetizing and delicious. I swear I'm going to be a chef too LOL. Every time I watched an episode I got hungry, and inspired to try new things in the kitchen! The imagery is wonderful.
This anime is also entertaining. Has the fun exaggeration and some fanservice that many anime have in order to lighten the mood so as not to be too painfully serious all the time. It isn;t a drama after all. They seem to touch each character (and there are quite a number of them), so good character development!
The competition is intense! It truly feels like a battle to determine who shall be the best of the best! Many people tend to get annoyed or bored of the explanations and reactions to the foods by the tasters but I find the metaphorical representations AWESOME! and a good way to show the viewer the differences in enjoyment of each persons food, since we are not able to taste it ourselves! I give this anime a 9!
I couldn't stop watching. Looking forward to seeing more from this mouth-watering, visually spectacular anime. LOVE IT!
