Spoilers: For me Anime is not the only thing I do, watch, and is interested in. So when I watch an Anime to completion it has to have caught my attention. The Fate/Zero series I saw on Netflix couple of year ago an really enjoyed it and when I saw that Unlimited Blade Works had been released I had to watch it as well. Overall I enjoyed the series. I feel that this season, however, felt a little dragged on compared to season 1. Maybe because in Fate/Zero we were watching more than one story unfold compared to just following Shirō & Rin around & season 1 of UBW felt decently fast paced. A good example of this was Kirei just showing up in episode 20. I would have liked to have more insight on his and Gilgamesh's interactions. I also didn't like the whole Shirō & Rin romance for the fact they seem to just walk this line of awkward the entire time. I'm not a guy into cushy lovey dovey stuff, but I would have rather had some progression. Even at the end I wasn't sure if they were together or in some just weird awkward friendship. I don't know, it just bugged me. Also where were Sakura & Taiga all season? Tropical island drinking coconuts? Who knows? Oh, & the memory of I assume Shirō doing back flips...they bring it up once & discard it immediately. Made no sense to me. And my final complaint was Waver. Him & Rider were my favorite characters from Fate/Zero, but the way they do it is just odd. I had to google just to make sure it was him like I thought. All in all, while I have my complaints its still a great watch. The action scenes look great and the dialogue was always superb. If you liked Animes like Sword Art Online, Attack on Titan, or The Future Diary(Mirai Nikki) I think you will enjoy it.
