To me Akame Ga Kill was a breath of fresh air or should I say blood? Anyway, when I started watching this show last year I really really enjoyed it like a lot. I loved the characters and the battles. I especially love the fan service but anime boobs will make any 15 year old weep. What I really liked about this show was the deaths and I know it seems dark but I would speculate who would die in the next episode and who will live, and it actually made the anime much more enjoyable. There is nothing like speculating something and getting it right and that's what I liked about this series so much, but others can say it's a bad thing and I can definitely see why. They also added the typical love side plot but it kinda went south really fast and I really liked that because going into this show I knew that it wasn't gonna be pleasant. If you like gore and bad ass fights definitely check this show out.
Personally I thought the art style was really dark and I like this kinda style. I love the rainy nights and I love the bloody backdrops. I loved all of the character designs and all of their weapons. I also loved the soundtrack for this show a lot and I thought it fit well with the story and the style of this anime. So the characters in this show were, I would say above average. There was a lot of development with some characters than others and I really wish they would've developed more of these characters that they didn't develop. Granted a lot of the characters die before they even have a chance of developing into an awesome character that people will remember, but hey that's just the tone of the show.
If you like awesome, bloody, and bad ass fights than you should watch this show because it will fulfill your needs and probably a lot more. To me Akame Ga Kill is an experience that you may or may not ever feel again, and this depends on if you like this genre of anime and if you're willing to watch it. The characters, the story, the art style, and the soundtrack are all good and they all fit the tone of the show pretty well. If you haven't seen this anime yet I highly recommend it.
