Weeeeell, disregarding all the poor reviews I read about this Anime, I went straight in to watch it. And I have to say, I loved it to bits.

The story is about a teenager who uses his abilities to help himself get ahead. What he doesn't know is how drastically his life is about to take a turn, and how deeply rooted he is to everything that's going on.

While it does have a slow start (filled with humor, so it's not all that boring), the story really picks up about halfway into the show. From then on out it becomes a roller-coaster that takes you all over the place, both in terms of the show's themes and in terms of your emotions.

Coming from the people who made Angel Beats! and Clannad, I expected no less of this.

Granted, while some might not appreciate this, I for one feel that more of a good thing is not bad at all.

I appreciated the story and the art, and while some of the characters were pretty much one dimensional, that in itself has become a trope in Anime.

I thoroughly enjoyed this anime, and would have given it a higher rating if the first 6 episodes had more than just some humor now and then to liven them up (the build up was worth it I suppose, just wish there was more content).

For anyone looking to give this a try, it's quite good. If you like Angel Beats!, Clannad, Death Note (the main character would use his powers to help him succeed in his goals, à la Light), or just stories that start light and end heavy, this is an Anime to watch.

Enjoy. ^_^
