Story
This show is a drama.Well, it's a good show and everyone should watch it,really.I wouldn't call it great since the elements used in this show aren't that original or pretty much overused and some shows that featured similar elements like the one used in this show were used to their maximum potential and were done much better.But that doesn't mean that this show is bad.The show used it's premise well and there's nothing wrong with it.The story's pacing was fine and the ending, though somewhat left a little bit to be desired, was nicely done and concluded.There's nothing really complicated in the story and as it progresses, you'll really feel sad even if you're watching a happy scene as it's downright obvious(actually just reading the MAL synopsis would give you an idea) what the possible ending would be and all that happiness transpiring infront of you will eventually end.So yeah,this show are for those who want to cry but I actually didn't cry here.Just little bit tears threatening to fall but I managed to punch my eyes just when it's about to give up(pro-tip to remain cool) so again, I actually didn't cry.Only one objection here is the jokes.The jokes are so lame but they'll get decent as the story progresses or more like you'll get used to them.Overall, a fairly average show.
Sound
Great OP and ED.The inserted BGMs helped a lot in imroving the emotional impact of every emotional scenes.Overall, sound department contributed a lot to the show.
Art
The animation was impressive,fluid to say the least.The characters' face when they're about to cry were drawn and animated very well.It somehow had a natural feel to it.Overall, art department greatly contributed a lot to the overall atmosphere of the show.
Characters
The characters in this show weren't that bad but not so great.If you have watched few anime shows out there, you'll notice some of the typical personalities but that's fine with this show.Most characters don't try too hard in making their identity clear to the viewers and I was thankful since "trying hard" characters are the most annoying characters.So again,overall, characters are fine but the lack of interesting ones may leave you bored and perhaps,annoyed.
Enjoyment
I enjoyed it a lot.And this is my personal recommendation when you're planning to watch it.Marathon it!Well, there is,of course, a reason why you should marathon it and that reason is ,solely, because the emotional effect might get reduced if you decided to watch it,let's say, once a day or once a week.But that's just me personally.You can watch it however you like.
So Plastic memories was a good drama.It doesn't try too hard in doing an emotional scene and most were nicely executed.Inserted BGMs blended really well and I'd say this is one of those shows that used its sounds to it's full extent.Art is consistent and nicely done.Characters aren't bad but not so great.To put it shortly,everything blended really well here.And just in case,I think it wouldn't hurt if you'd prepare yourself some tissues before watching it or you can just punch yourself when the time comes.
