I first watched the series when it first came out back in 2006. It was fun-filled, action-packed, full of fan services. There was never a moment of dullness with the antics of Saito and Louis.
However, looking at the overall plot, there were a lot of unanswered questions. Things felt rushed to the end. Luckily it was caught up with the sequels to shine more details into the overall story.
So if you are looking for a light-weight anime with plenty of laughters, Zero no Tsukaima is something you can start. Especially when it features Kugumiya Rie who voiced Shana from Shakugan no Shana
