Here we have an anime that puts me in a total personal polarity, I like it a lot, but there's that little voice inside my head that says "look, there's a lot of shitty stuff" so, yeah, it is a bit difficult to me review this one, but I'll try my best.

Story: 7

The plot is really cool, is creative and with a lot of emotion, but also feel kinda, well, false. I know it's a sci-fi story and I don't have to believe it at all, but it have a lot of holes in it. So, you can watch it for this two paths, that is really good or really bad, and this is one of a few series that a feel like this.

Gotta say, the sci-fi part is the only part when everybody will say, it's really good, the world that shows is really amazing, feels futuristic but not to a really extreme future, with a lot of chromatic stuff like in that spongebob chapter, actually, a lot of things are similar to or times, but with a bit more of "science stuff"...yeah, that's not a really good way to put it, but you get the point.

Now, the bad stuff are the main part of the plot, and these are the giftias, not because they are bad ideas, but because it one existence feels too forced to make the audience stay in a kinda saddy mood. If you read the synopsis (that you should) you might know what a giftia is, an android with emotions and personality but they got expiration (yeah, like those doritos that you're eating). The utility time of this machines are 81,620 hours (if I remember well) and here's the biggest problem with the story, why the hell would you create an android like this if you are going to give it like 5 years of life? I mean, it's almost a human being...actually, they're pretty much like humans being, they're put in the role of parents, brothers, sons, girlfriends, I mean, that's freaking cruel.
To the defense of this, I can say that maybe there's a strange error that happens in the program of the android that make a crush or something, but, as I say in the beginning, is a sci-fi story, it doesn't have to be that real at all.

Now, if you don't nitpik a lot, I could say is okay overall. It's kinda cliche, but could be even a bit heartbreaker...like, a bit.

Art: 9

This art is beautiful, looks really amazing, at first couldn't see that great, but got a lot of details that make it really awesome.

Sound: 6

Now, I like a lot the opening and the ending, theirselves as songs are really good, and with the animation, it's a beautiful trip, but, the rest of the ost feel kinda awful, like out of the place sometimes and others trying to be subtle but if you spell it like ]"~S U B T L E~"[ ...yeah, pretty forced.

Character: 7

Okay, let's see the good characters.

Isla: She's a loli, so since the beginning we have a half of fans and another of haters, and gotta say, I'm part of the fanbase, not because she's a loli, but because in general is a really likeble charater. She's kinda cold sometimes but also she gets happy a lot, in general, got a lot of personality, trying to do her best but she's kinda clomsy, but not to the point of a cliche. The bad stuff is that she's a giftia, so, as I said, the feel is forced for this reason.

Enough of good characters, almost the rest go from okay to god damn awful.

Wanna stand out a character in particular.

There's a guy called Hanada, and I just hate him. For some reason, he really pissed me off, and I really don't know why. I mean, there's some reasons like he's lax and irresponsible, normally that doesn't disgust me at all, but the fact that he's a public server just put anger on me. Could be just me, but almost everytime he was in scene, I felt really angry.

Overall: 6.8

In a more pesonal way, I would give it an 8, I really enjoy watching this anime, but, being more objective, got a lot of things that could pissed off a lot of people. I just said the ones that I think are the most relevant, but there are some other things that could really distract you. So, if you're looking for an intelligent and original anime, with heavy psychological stuff, you could say is a total failure, but, if you only wanna watch a simple series, slice of life, romantic, with a saddy mood and a touch of sci-fi, you could like it a lot like me.

(Also, I don't really know if saddy is actually word, so, I'm really sorry for use it)
