To be frank, I never did expect an anime to hit me right in the feels especially when it was about music, but this one somehow just made its way through and made me glad to have clicked that play button.

The story begins with the Protagonist, also known as Kousei who stopped playing the piano due to an incident that occurred during his childhood.
This scar or "trauma" stick to him despite the years passing.

Then comes along Kaori, who pretends to like Watari, who is also Kousei's good friend. The reason was so that should get closer to Kousei, as he is her initial interest.

This is when the title "Your lie in April" fits in so well. The lie they have starts to grow bigger and bigger causing both Kaori and Kousei's true emotions to subtly "leak" throughout the episodes.

What I love about the story plots is that it tackles modern issues such as child abuse, handling someone's death, breaking down under pressure and the too often "Keeping what I truly feel on the inside" ; what this anime does best, is to relate these situations to the audience.

And also what better way than to portray emotions through classical music?
Choosing the right sonatas and pieces which fits in so well with the scenes just boost the emotional factors which is not an easy task to be done.

In all it does seem a little cliche but a very possible story that probably many audience can relate. And I would like to end this review with this.

"Did I reach you? I truly hope so"
