Loved the ending, just beautiful. Doesn't reflect the entire show though.

STORY- 7/10
You know that amazing strategic analysis that Lelouch used in Season 1? How he positioned his units in the best place to effectively neutralize his opponents? Well, after Episode 8-10ish, his use of "strategy" is taking one of his many invincible robots and unloading his battery into the enemy troops. Of course, Lelouch is still a brilliant genius, but the use of strategy is no longer as prominent or executed as well. On the other hand, the powerful final episodes were better than anything in the rest of the series for me, with some of the biggest "Feels" moments in anime history.

ART- 8/10
Animation was good and all except for one thing- the Fanservice. Glorious shots of CC's and Kallen's...everything. The most awkward angles while piloting the mechas. The art styles were very good, keeping up the style set by the first season, so not much to complain about besides the ass shots.

SOUND- 9/10
Music and voice-acting in R2 is superb, and decent openings and endings. The soft songs that play during important character moments and the bombastic orchestral and brass music in the more epic parts of the show go beautifully, no real complaints here.

CHARACTER- 8/10
All the characters are interesting enough, with their own motives and morals, although from time to time they act rather bipolar with loose characterization and you don't really know exactly what happened to them at times, although that might just be some intense character development occurring. My other main issue with the characters is that the vast majority of the Black Knights are extremely gullible to anything anyone says. But at the end of the day, all these characters create some sort of emotional feelings inside you and in many cases make you want to sympathize with them.

ENJOYMENT- 10/10
Loved this show, one of the best I've ever seen. My few problems with the characters and plot were easily solved by the ending, with many characters earning their redemption in some way or another. The last 5 minutes of Episode 20 was legendary by the way, best moment in the series IMO.

OVERALL- 9/10
Code Geass Season 2 wasn't as great as the first season in terms of actual storyline or characters, but makes up for it with its upgraded soundtrack, animation, and great ending. Obviously one of the best anime of the last decade and worthy of watching from all anime fans.
