Mixed Feelings
A fairly decent anime. It starts out very well and the events match the title, however as it goes on there is an odd way of revealing some human experiments, altered humans and by the time you are clearly told this it's too late as by then you see some odd superhuman movements from the main characters and you wonder what the hell is up with that.

I was wondering if this is an anime that is like durara or like gungrave or something else. It was really hard to figure out what the story had in mind and it would been much better if it would have been made clearer at a much earlier point in the anime that there are characters which are part of a human experiment and their impact on the world aren't just mere exaggerations of the anime, which actually very common in animes.

Story:
The story was a huge let down, although it started very promising and although it's not a cup of sun shine it still had the potential to shine with a nice 10, regardless of the ending. However there are just random characters showing up to then show off during battles and basically everyone is just dicking around and acting cool. This is a good way to trash a story and ruin a good plot, turn it into a pile of vomited events (and no i am not talking about the flashbacks). The random introductions of super powers and greater super powers and then random unnecessary uninteresting villians just to have a reason to continue the story makes it a bit irritating.

Characters:
What made me keep watching were the characters. The earlier characters the series start with are actually interesting. But then as the story goes on either cannon fodder or overhyped characters are being introduced.

By cannon fodder i mean doug, the 21 year old dual wielding sword master. His eyes are a bit too moe style for this anime and i understand he just didn't grow tall, but his appearance hurts the anime and prevents you from taking it serious. It looks more like the annoying brat that ditched school, decides to act cool and dances in front of the traffic, nearly getting hit by a car. Glad it dies in the anime.

The exaggerated and overhyped characters of this anime don't even get a proper fight. They just have godly plot armor, which is really irritating. What really ruins these sort of characters even more is the fact that two of them are lesbians, unrealistic lesbians on top of that. The issue with them being lesbians is the fact that they are lesbians just for the sake of gaining few extra pubertant fans who are still completely unfamiliar with girls. Yes, exactly, they are lesbians for the sake of those weird fetishists who watch shows just because of it, just to keep those creeps watching. Absolutely sexist and disgusting move by the plot writer.

The memorable characters are the one eyed blondie, the guy who talks with his neck coz he is deaf and never learned to talk and your daily backstreet prostitute singing on the sidewalk (alex). These get good development and decent backstories. The characters have depth and aren't there just for show, but neither are they shallow anime figurinjes that just act up and get overhyped. Overall about any earlier character is pleasent, especially when you compare them to the ones introduced later on. The cop at the police station and even the old baba selling cigars. The nurse and the doctor were also great characters, although a bit odd.

They later introduce a 10 year old and that's about when the character palette really gets trashed and crapped upon. It's a little boy with superhuman strength that effortlessly matches that of super human adults. Sure he is part of a special breed of superhuman adults that lack some of the downsides, but he can still match adults that are part of the same special breed ... wtf? It's just a physical imposibility, lower force doesn't match greater force. Simple. It's like the anime is testing you and asking you constantly the question: "ok how about we introduce this shit, are you still going to watch this nasty crap, although it started out so well?" Well unfortunately i did, just as i did with so many crappy animes.

Now last but not least, examples of how characters also get ruined later on. So the one eyed blondie makes a joke about the backstreet prostitute and she slaps him for that. It is absolutely out of character considering what went on early in the show.

Early on the alpha male lesbian that is captain of one of the region in town, gets angry and punishes two characters just for fighting. However later on when half the city starts to fall apart and burn in flames, she isn't phased and wants to let someone else do the fighting. Not even her beta lesbian friend will jump into the fight although the beta lesbian has fought on countless occasions before that. Unrealistic lesbos btw, considering how they hoard man like nymphomanic sluts ... i dunno what you think, but girls who suck that many cocks can't be gay.

Art:
The art might not be liked by everyone. Personally i liked it, most of it anyways with few exceptions. Great art.

Sound:
I really didn't like the opening/ending songs. Totally garbage. But aside from that i did like the sound quality.

Enjoyment:
I enjoyed watching the first few introduced characters, which became the ones i sympathized with, go through their daily life. And that's about the only reason i kept watching.
I found the non-talkative, throat voice guy very interesting character. It seems he never got messed up, his super strength is even revealed to be due to an overdose on drugs, which actually makes him more interesting.
