-Story 10/10
This is a food show featuring Yukihara Souma, whose father runs a dinner with him helping. His father is regarded as an excellent cook and so is Souma, though the latter isn't able to match up to the former. He is then sent to a cooking school where passing is a miracle, where the top few of the cohort are pretty much guaranteed success if they were to graduate. This show then follows Souma's adventures with his friends in constant cook-offs where they are given tasks to fulfil in order to stay in the school. And I must say that never would I have imagined a cooking show like this would be able to make me want to watch so much more. With constant cliffhangers, adrenalin pumping cooking action and continuous explanations of how the tantalizing food they cook is made, this show was a wild ride from start to finish.

-Art 9/10
The art is well suited, being able to properly highlight what one would call foodgasms in the anime, with the correct types of colours chosen to express how heavenly the food tastes and such. Also, the ecchi scenes are very well done :). Along with the proper lighting and colouring to present the food in the best light possible, the art is very well done.

-Sound 9/10
The BGM in this anime leans more towards the side of intensifying the atmosphere, as in scenarios where Souma would seem to be in a pinch or such, the BGM would work its magic, supporting the visuals and story from the sidelines. The voice acting was also good for this anime, with the voice actors clearly expressing how the characters felt throughout. Also, a special mention to all the openings and endings of Shokugeki no Souma as they are very good. Sound effects which come together with the food such as the sounds of the food sizzling to make the food even more appealing or the noise of garlic being fried are also pretty similar to ones in life, making it even more enjoyable and some extent realistic.

-Characters 8/10
In general, most of the characters follow some form of common character stereotypes like tsundere, shy girls, etc, though they each do have their own deviations making them still unique. There are also a lot of characters who have a lot of pride or motivation over one thing or another, be it their own skills, own family restaurant, etc. This also makes a lot of the characters confident and they are also very capable of holding their own, making this an anime filled with badass characters. In addition, the female characters who tend to get foodgasms are meant to be "attractive", making the end result an extremely intriguing mix of "pleasure" and females.

-Enjoyment 10/10
It was always fun to see our hero cook up something to match up and even surpass the expectations of those around him, letting him somewhat be the underdog of the story. Throughout the anime, there are also very funny moments every once in awhile with how the characters act. Along with the constant excitement of the next episode after one has finished, I would say that I absolutely enjoyed this anime. It was also fun to pick up some knowledge on food here and there, and looking at the food presented in the glimmering lights was a spectacle to behold. Lastly, the ecchi scenes which mainly involved foodgasms were always one of the biggest highlights of each dish, as it was hilarious to see how over-exaggerated they could make some eating something look.

-Some thoughts
In my opinion, this has been one of the most intense and addictive animes I have ever watched, and I would have never fathomed that it would have been of food of all things. With what I feel is a constant perfect mix of sounds, art and food, I do highly recommend people to watch this anime, as I'm sure that this fits the majority of peoples' tastes (literally and figuratively).
