So, I had never heard of this anime until recently, and I am now regretting the fact that I did not know about this anime earlier. One of my friends told me about this show one day, and said that I had to see it. No matter what. Unfortunately, he had spoiled the ending of this masterpiece for me that very same day, but regardless of that, I had still shed tears throughout this show. I was not actually expecting this show to be this amazing, and I am so grateful to have seen it. It was beyond my expectations, and I enjoyed it way too much. I have never watched a series multiple times, or even twice, but I have watched through this anime over five times, and it makes me cry every single time that I see it. The soundtrack in this anime is exquisite, but that is to be expected from an animation that is based around music.
As of right now, this is probably my all time favourite anime series that I have ever watched. I have also read the manga, and there are some really minor differences, like some locations and some of the dialogue, but that could easily just be a translation thing.
Overall, I would say that this anime is amazing, across all boards, and I give it an overall rating of 10/10.
The characters were really interesting, at least in my personal opinion, and I was not bored throughout any of the scenes in this anime. Definitely an anime that people should watch, even if they are not huge fans of music.
