First, I will say that I only picked this up because of the music. Classical music is my favorite so when I heard the synopsis, I just had to watch it. I'm very glad I did. If you are like me and play the classical piano, this would be great to watch. It has such beautiful pieces that some even brought me to tears.
Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso is a lovable anime. It isn't incredibly long, so if you have nothing to do you can most likely finish it in a day or two. That is unless you keep playing the songs over and over again, which is what I am doing (at the moment I am only 10 episodes in.)
In my opinion, the storyline is one of the best. The fact that Arima Kousei was a piano prodigy until the incident causing him to be unable to play, and then his friends are all trying to him become a pianist again; I think it is very touching. The characters all give good advice that I personally have never heard before. It makes me wonder if I can become a better pianist.
At the moment, I rate this an 9. Even if it is mainly because the music selections are beautiful.
