Do you know when you're looking for some great anime, but you only end up watching shit over shit? Well, with Shokugeki no Soma it was the exactly opposite: I only started watching it as a "nothing to do, let's fill out time" and it ended up being one of my favourite shows. Clean and coloorful graphics, well made and characterized characters, a really interesting storyline and some fantastic OP/ED. Also, the input situation of the "boy who wants to get better", being a common type in the shonen is kinda different cause of the different area of interest, making it even more unique. Moreover, the ecchi spots, the harem-like situation and the great variety of characters and stories that mix up make it fantastic and worth to watch.
