after watching the first half, I was totally expecting to give this a 5. The MC was a scumbag, the side characters were boring and cliche, and the plot was panning out to be a mediocre school-life anime. That was until episode 6.

Episode 6 was the beginning of making the MC a dynamic character, as well as showing some other dimensions to his personality. The events that happened in this episode really helped begin pushing the story out of the generic mold it was in. This episode pushed my rating up to a 6. That is until episode 8

Episode 8 thew out all my former expectations for how I thought the show would progress. the twist to the plot in this episode was a complete surprise, and brought some good direction to the story.

the remaining episodes completely blew the previous episodes out of the water. The MC I hated at the beginning became a developed character I was invested in; the plot I thought was generic and mediocre became really interesting and engaging.

So much happened in the last episode it could've gotten its own season. Even though that didn't happen, it was still a satisfying last episode. They were able to condense what could've been a whole season, into one episode while still showing enough for us to appreciate how much happened without feeling like we missed out on anything crucial. It had a terrific and satisfying ending to the most surprising show of the season.
