Oh boy, where do I start?

This anime exceeded all expectations and blew everything I knew into smithereens. The plot, art and soundtrack were all an A+ which is rare. It has influenced me more than I thought it would.

Right, cliché -I know-, but let's start at the beginning: The plot. The plot is well thought out. The way everything was executed was excellent; there weren't any fillers; everything was pretty much relevant. It's very intricate and makes you think; 'what's happening now?'; what's gonna' happen next?' what's that for?' It will drive you over the edge and you will not be able to stop yourself from picking up that mouse and pressing next episode and slamming the left mouse button to play the next part. The symbolism in the anime and details that parallel to our own world is amazing; you will fan girl for days. The plot (the anime, in general to be honest) is thought provoking; from the themes it shows to its obscure details; you will not be disappointed. There's something for everyone.

Secondly, the art was spectacular. One of the most beautiful animes I have ever watched. The detail they put into the 'lighting' alone is mesmerizing. There's this one scene in the anime where the characters are riding a motorbike and they go past this Ferriswheel and oh my god; the way they animated the motorbike, the light, and - well, everything was just full of detail. It was fluid and breath taking. From the landscape art to its character designs; your heart will have no choice but beat louder and quicker with every second. The art is immersive and gorgeous. What more could you ask for?

Oh Holy Oedipus; the soundtrack. I usually skip openings and ending songs as they are usually very mediocre; they're just like every other anime soundtracks, but, this! this anime soundtrack is at the top. It will blow your ears away. It is porn for your ears; the opening will get you hooked and excited to start the anime while the ending feels as if it understands what you're feeling after you are done with the episode. The sense of melancholy and beauty all in one. The songs they use while the episode is actually happening is equally as gorgeous; it conveys more than just background music, it reflects emotions from the episode as a whole and emotions from the characters themselves. It will touch you and never leave you.

The Characters in this anime will introduce theirselves to you and you will be completely enamoured. They will make you frown, laugh, cry, and everything else in between. Not only the characters themselves but also the relationships between the characters. Character development is blatantly there and executed beautifully. and the character design is as equally as amazing as their plot, art and sound and I'm not just talking about the heroes; I am also talking about the villains; mind you, the terms heroes and villains are used very loosely here as they are very subjective. This anime blurs the line between being the a villain and being a hero which makes for a greater tale to be told.

Enjoyment? Is that even a question? I absolutely adored this anime and completely enjoyed it. From the characters, to the plot, to the soundtrack- everything was more than what I expected. In all honesty, I truly believe that this anime should have more hype because although, it only had one season; the story it told packed a punch. A clear, concise story line with great characters and even better art and music. It kept me on the edge of my seat making me laugh, cry and angry. I laughed at their antics, cried over some characters and got angry because of both the heroes and he villains. A very rare find; and I'm glad I watched it.

So, in summary (to those who thought TL;DR) If you like thought provoking animes which not only question the world of anime but also real world problems; this is the anime for you Its themes of terrorism, friendship, and a question of morality is gripping and once it has touched you; its mark will forever be there. leaving us all a question; only we can answer. 10/10 will watch again.
