The way I preform my reviews are rather unique. Ill talk about the categories and review them as I see fit, however heres the way my grading scale works
1-4: Not good/horrible
5-7: Ehh/Okay Probably wont watch again
8-9: Good/ Will most likely watch again
10: Enjoyed greatly/ Will definitely watch again.
Now that I have the gist of my grading scales down onto the review.

Story: 10 So what is there to say about Haikyuu that hasn't been said. Its a sports anime about volleyball. Im sure there's been some good sports anime's as well as bad ones. In terms of this anime it goes beyond your "Typical" sports anime's and really develops the story and the struggles of the characters well.

Art: 10 Im not art critic by any means. However I can say that Haikyuu has nice artwork. The colors can be nice and vibrant. Nothing is out of place from what ive seen, also I would say that its all well done especially when it would come to having to draw someone behind a net. They did a good job on that, and Haikyuu is overall nice to look at.

Sound: 10 I love music in anime's and visual novels overall. Music can really set the tone for the story. Whether its hyping someone up or providing a sad piece to draw out emotion. The emotion in Haikyuu is more on the side of hyping you up. I loved the opening for this show. The second one in particular. The voice acting is done good as well. Its done in such a way that it flows and doesn't distract from the show.

Character(s): 10 Considering this is an anime about a high school volleyball team, it would make sense that it would have high school sports athletes. I found that the characters were quite likable, and even the characters on the other team(s) had some personalities that were unique. The character development overall was well paced in my opinion. You feel happy with their accomplishments, you feel sad with their struggles. For a 25 episode anime they were able to pace the characters well and really develop them.

Enjoyment: 10 for me however it comes down to your personal preference. I tend to be well rounded in my like for anime. For example I like a mix of things from sports, to action, to romance etc. I feel that even if you dont play volleyball personally you will find enjoyment in the show. I think that all the things from the music to character design/development was incorporated well. I saw this for the first time early 2015/late 2014 when the first season was finished. I just now finished re-watching it. Even though I knew what would happen and the outcomes, I couldnt help but feel like I was experiencing it for the first time again. In my opinion this anime is definitely worth a watch, and maybe a re-watch if thats your thing. Overall I give the anime a 10/10 and highly recommend it.
