Yey, another Kyoto Animation anime! May not be my favorite, but Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! is a golden anime. Of course, with Kyoto Animation's forte which is their eyegasm animations, this anime will be worth your while. Depends on your taste, but if you're into romantic comedy, this is for you.

Story: 8
Some might rate it higher or lower, but the concept of chuunibyou is very interesting. Maybe it is only in Japan, but if an 8th grade syndrome is a thing, I would as well like to witness someone who has it. The flow of the story isn't too fast and isn't too slow either. It's at the right pace. The concept of the story itself is interesting too. A bit about the story:
the protagonist who is now in highschool had chuunibyou, and he tries to forget his embarrassing moments when he had chuunibyou. He then meets a girl his age who still has chuunibyou and their story revolves on.
Considering the story of the 1st season, I think it did a great job in introducing and going in depth to the plot.

Art: 9
YES GO KYOANI MAKE MORE EYEGASMS! Them animations though. Seriously, for a 2012 anime, this is good shit. Everytime Rikka imagines her battle scenes due to chuunibyou, the movements are really fluid and the background is detailed. The fighting between the two characters are so well-made and it clearly depicts it as a fantasy battle scene. I'm not that knowledgeable in art, but despite that I can still slightly judge on the art and I can differentiate on what is good or not. The art can almost go for a 10, but it still needs a bit more fine tuning on the sudden movements of the characters e.g.
Rikka's famous slide tackle
Sound: 8
The sounds are alright, and I can do critical commentary on the sound since I am a music person. First, the opening. Yes, the opening is very beautiful and is just right for this anime. The opening animation might make people dizzy though, but still it has a nice tune to it. The music during dramatic scenes or battle scenes are good too, but they can still do slight improvement. It is not disappointing, because the piano pieces for dramatic moments, probably why I like this anime. The music used for battle scenes are good too, but the tune of it is kind of exaggerated. Overall, for the music, it was amazing, yet it can still be slightly improved.

Character: 9
It's hard to review the characters without giving spoilers. But the characters of Chuunibyou are unique and quirky in terms of personalities. Togashi Yuuta, the protagonist might be the most "flat" character because there weren't any big changes to his character. Although no major changes, when he had feelings of love and kind of become determined, that's probably what makes his character interesting. Other characters such as Rikka, Nibutani, and Dekomori have very good character also, but they won't be explained thoroughly because it will result in spoilers.

Enjoyment: 8
Enjoyable, and very nice anime. Probably not a big masterpiece in the anime industry, but compared to the mainstream type of animes, yes this is above them. Really fun to watch because of the comedy but the drama can get tense.

Overall: 8
Might rate it higher, but only if the story was a bit more "feely". Still, I really liked it and there was nothing I hated about it. Must watch for romantic comedy watchers out there.
