Forget the arbitrary number score - whatever number I put is irrelevant to whether this is an anime you should watch or not.

So strap in for deeply shallow game strategies, and incestuous tones so subtle you don't even need to hold a magnifying class to the cover of this book....I mean...anime.
Yep, it's a wild ride through the 90's LCD induced rainbow gradient vomit spewed across a fun anime that does a successful job of making a connection to all of you suffering from that horrible, horrible "hikikomori" - which is just the weeaboo way of saying you're f**king antisocial as shit.

This series biggest flaw is that it isn't finished - or maybe that's to it's benefit.
The advantage to being a writer is knowing how the story is going to go. So, don't get me wrong, I love seeing Sora out smart his opponents. This anime makes you feel powerful by seeing the overflowing confidence of _blank_ (the name of the duo Sora and Shiro) But, like I said, when you boil it down, most of the "outwitting" comes from rather shallow and rather contrived reasons. I have to say the "big show downs" with their adversaries is a lot less satisfying than the small one-off games done between side characters or just settling scores to size each other up. The first thing that comes to mind is the game of rock-paper-scissors between Sora and Stephanie Dola. This was short, quick, and far more satisfying than the "let's add a magical element to a well known game" idea that most of the bigger encounters take place in.

What makes this piece so fun is the "boastful protagonist" - a man who doesn't seem threatened by anything through confidence and cockiness. It's the movie-equivalent of a video-game's power trip, but the problem with it, is that it's shallow. The characters never really seem like they are in any real danger because...well the anime tells you in the first few lines of the show: _blank_ doesn't. lose. Sure, it's a cool line, but, let's face it, that line ruined the whole anime because it says everything you need to know about the struggles between _blank_ and the opposition. Blank doesn't lose.
However, the nice thing about "Blank doesn't lose." is that it sticks around long enough for you to really see how that plays out, in the different strategies and plans the duo come up with - even if, from a writers standpoint, they really are tepid solutions that came from contrived conditions set up specifically by the writer. Regardless, it leaves an impact and is what makes this anime fun. But there is a problem with this. The series isn't finished, and from the sounds of the plot, and judging based on the number of planned light novels to be released, it sounds like this show is planned to be a long runner, and I think this will ultimately kill the satisfaction gained from "Blank doesn't lose".
I worry about how more episodes of this might ultimately water down the experience from a fun romp, to a slog of overly confident, shallow characters.

But, as it stands, it's 12 episodes long, so let's just focus on that.
Should you watch Rainbow-Gradient Incest Game?
Yes. Yes, you should.
I recommend turning the saturation of your monitors down 75% so your eyes don't explode while watching.
