Set in your average high school where no one matters except the main character and her friends, Kill la Kill knows what it is and gives off its silliness quite well. My main issue with it is it doesn't ever make up it's mind on what it wants to be. From trying to be silly to falling into the tropes it makes fun of. I liked the art, quite simplistic and I was often blown away by the gorgeous sound. Halfway through however, it began to fell as more of a chore to watch. I was disappointed with the ending because it came so suddenly. It definitely is a show to discuss with friends though as to "if there is a deeper meaning". Overall, I liked it, but I wasn't blown away by anything. 8/10
