The premise itself sounds quite strange, as one would wonder where you would get a story about a club of anime otakus. However the shared and independent struggles of each character who is part of the club is something that this show does an excellent job of developing. This anime is very down to earth about portraying the life of each character, including the hardships involved.
The artwork and sounds used are also quite good, and it honestly gets pretty interesting when you consider that the characters in this anime also watch an anime in their world (yes, animes within animes. Amazing concept, as corny as it sounds). And while the story is down to earth and fairly serious, this show also has a great deal of humor as it cleverly portrays the shortcomings of each character. The random (not so) subtly hidden references to real life anime, video games, and such are also fun things to look out for in this show.
Never have I watched such a brilliant show that manages to excel in everything. I can't imagine any fan of anime being disappointed by this show.
