Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso/Your Lie in April is an interesting anime. It feels more realistic in a sense that if the anime happened in real life, it would feel like it smacked you in the face. I think that with this particular anime, a lot of pianists can identify with the main character. Such as myself, I started piano at a young age so being able to relate to Kousei's past felt so familiar. The ending is a whole other story that you'll need to watch and find out for yourself because honestly, it's one of those situations where you realize several subtle events leading up to it and then it's the biggest plot twist ever.

However, personally I felt the pace was a bit slow but was necessary in order to build the story. Thus being said, I generally enjoyed the anime for its many heart breaking and/or heart warming moments.
