This is one of the most powerful and exciting anime I have ever seen. So rarely is there an anime that manages to reach into our hearts, touch our souls, and bring out the inner child within an adult without making us act like children. It's strange that some of the simplest things in life, or some of the most insignificant occurances such as calling out to a girl talking about anpan can end up bringing about the greatest impacts to our lives.
Clannad excels beyond the typical slice-of-life anime in that it bears the characteristics of the typical slice-of-life characters without being overbearing. It is also one of the best stories that I have ever encountered encompassing many things from anime, to manga and even books. There were many times during multiple episodes, sometimes multiple times per episode that I would end up laughing so hard I'd give myself a headache.
This anime also manages to bear some powerful messages for life. Sometimes they're hard to see, such as how important support systems can be for human survival and how lacking them can be a detriment. Other times, it comes right out and shouts it in your face such as how families sometimes work. By the end of this anime, though I knew there was more to come, I ended up virtually begging for it to never end.
This anime is a true life changer and a must see. I'm sure most anyone would thoroughly enjoy it if not at least get a good laugh out of it. 10/10
