This anime will give you the "feels". The character development is amazing and the story will make you feel more than just an audience. You will feel like a 'tomodachi' of all the main characters.
Some people may debate the admiration of the anime because of the element of western classical music involved, but for me the music made it even better. The piano and violin combo simply gave me goosebumps. And did I mention the art style, WOW. Some of the scenes almost looked like real life images (something like 5cm per second).
Yes, the story does become predictable, but on second thought, i think the author wanted us to give us an idea about the type of ending we were being led towards. Yet still it managed to make me cling onto some hope/belief till the very end.
The "letter" was a big blow to my already wavering heart. Trust me once you get into the story and the feelings of the characters, nothing will hold back your tears in the last episode.
"Did I reach you? I hope I did."
