Zankyou no Terror is about 2 people who were put in a test lab and lived out their childhood there. The 2 escaped and lived on together after that becoming very close, almost like brothers. Another character is soon after introduced called Lisa. Her mother became depressed and insane after her husband left her, and went crazy whenever Lisa left the house, because she feels as though she will walk out of her life too, so she sends text messages constantly to her, and even at home harasses her, saying things like "please don't leave me like your father". Anyways, she runs away and stays with the two others.
Throughout the Anime we learn more and more about the childhoods of 9 and 12 (the 2 close friends lab names), and get closer to the characters.
The Anime has an outstanding story, some of the best art you will ever see in Anime and great characters that you will come to love. However, the voice acting for the Americans was quite poor and came across as stupid at times.
Over all, this is my favorite Anime that I have seen to this day, and I have seen over 50. I highly recommend watching it.
