I love how the character development slowly builds to show you the pasts of the characters. The only confusion I had with it was the beginning where they show the girl and the machine that always plays.
It isn't the most original story out there, but they make up for it with the romance between Nagisa and Tomoya, along with the usual tear-jerking scenes. It's one of the most emotional and deep animes out there.
Those are just the main things I saw in the anime. Like I said before though, I'm not a professional so my opinion is not going to be a good one.
