In my opinion this anime is kind of dull and boring for the first few episodes hinting that the people in the new mansion are evil and really nothing more. even at episode 4-5 I just noticed that megumi has come back to life and that it is about vampires. At episode 10 onward's this anime really got me interested and made me care about the characters but not necessarily the same ones i did at the end.
At the beginning i didn't care for the doctor and wouldn't have minded if he died and i think i only started wanting him to live at around episode 14-15 and most of the characters i actually cared about ended up dying.
Overall this anime is great with just a bit to much death in my opinion, but i guess it is a horror and needs to have it.
