Most game-based animes have a habit of falling into one of two tropes-Either they become bland, have arrogant main characters, and bring real life right back into the game (SAO) or are just slightly comical with nice action but nothing else (accel world). No Game no life is especially a gem for this reason-its incredibly unpredictable, hilarious but can take itself seriously as well, and has great in-depth character development. Its an anime that basically never fails to amaze you as to what the most kawaii (if slightly incested) brother-sister couple Sora and Shiro are capable of and the immese trust they have in one another.

Story-The setting isn't to out of the ordinary, and there aren't any sharp plot twists lurking around the corner (except a massive one at the end that's a supernova sized cliffhanger, but i wont spoil it), but the story does progress pretty well in a sensible manner-Just 2 gamers who want to challenge god and will stop at nothing in their way. 9 out of 10.

Art-If you're a stickler for art, you will not be disappointed. This anime is VIVID. everything is full of extravagant colors and in episode 1 theres a massive dragon. The whole setting is really grand and it even amazed me (since when do i care about artwork? who am I, Picasso?). 10 out of 10 for art.

Sound-Really same idea, really catchy intro full of grandiose, and pretty climatic symphonies popping in during intense moments. It does serve to create a bigger climax well. And for all you loli's, shiro's kawaii face at the end with really sweet music behind it. 10 out of 10 for sound.

Character-This is where the anime shines immensely. Shiro and sora are both child prodigies in their own way, but its incredible because both are imperfect and they fill the cracks of their imperfection. they seriously are 1 person thorought the entire anime, garnering trust from each other that is beyond comparison. And they only grow from there. They never fail to succeed in even seemingly impossible challenges all for this reason. Honestly you will love both characters even for sora's slight pervertedness and rare arrogance. Even the sideboard characters still serve a bigger purpose. Yes, even the slight bimbo stephanie dola who is probably as important to the anime as a squash shines so freaking hard on the final episode, where she changes the fate of entire race. Everyone has their quirks, even if sometimes they get in the way (jibril, the flugel.) Be warned though-if a slip of boob is enough to put you into a coma, don't watch this because the characters are pretty fanserviced. But still there well developed and insanely loveable, so i give them a strong 10 out of 10.

Finally, my personally enjoyment, and the only score to give any fucks about is a strong 10 out of 10. This anime is seriously as close as it gets to flawless. Theirs insanely awesome visuals and just mind blower after mind blower so you're never unimpressed.
